Why Invite Anna Keibler as a Guest?

I am more than willing to be open and raw about my travel, trauma, and healing experiences while living in China. I also love to share the humorous and debaucherous sides to expat life, and have a unique perspective since I can speak Mandarin and heavily integrated into Chinese society for five years. My debut book discusses my relationship with a psychopathic yak herder on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the trauma that ensued as I journeyed across China for love, and how I enacted my revenge in the end, all with undiagnosed bipolar disorder running rampant in the background. I bartered my passport, sat face to face with the Chinese police, and experienced the worst betrayal a woman can imagine. This book tells the story of a type of trauma that happens every day across the world, yet few speak up about. My second book, I am humbled to say, will be published in early 2026 by Apprentice House Press. This book contains thirteen stories about every day life as an expat in Jinan, everything from attempting to make mooncakes to escaping an attempted kidnapping, from navigating Chinese hospitals to Chinese online dating. My third book is under consideration by an editor in Hong Kong and my fourth book is a WIP. I started my writing journey in March of 2024. I am also a technical writer and instructional designer by trade, specializing in creating online education content for those learning trades. Additionally, I have ten years of experience working with youth, ranging from teaching to youth advocacy.
