I thought it was stress. Dr's said it was depression. Turns out, it was perimenopause. At 32. I’m sharing what no one warned me about.

My target audience is women in their late 20's to early 40s. My goal is to raise awareness about early perimenopause and dismantle the stigma around aging, hormones, and women's health—especially for younger women where this type of thing might not even be on their radar.

I was 32 when this happened, and despite being in healthcare myself, my concerns and health issues were dismissed.

At 41, I’m living what I wish I’d known ten years ago. Women are so often misdiagnosed, ignored, or confused when it comes to their health and advocating for themselves, so I want to facilitate that conversation.

About Dee Hake

I’m Dee Hake, a healthcare provider, women’s health advocate and model.

For years, I experienced symptoms that were brushed off as stress, anxiety and depression.

Even as a nurse advocating for myself, I was dismissed.

Every test, lab result and scan led to more unanswered questions.

It wasn’t until years later and several new groups of Doctors, I found out I was in perimenopause.

I was 32 when this started.

No one thought to look at my hormones.

I now have a deep personal mission to raise awareness about early perimenopause and empowering women to advocate for their own health at any age.

Too many women—especially in their 30s— are being misdiagnosed, dismissed, or completely left in the dark.

I’m looking for podcasts to talk about the stuff no one warned us about.

I’ve seen firsthand how women’s health—especially hormonal health—is consistently dismissed and misunderstood.

I’d love to join you on your podcast to share my story and speak to the emotional, physical, and systemic realities women face when navigating health changes, including early perimenopause.

I believe your audience—or anyone who is in the thick of body, identity, and hormonal changes—would find validation, answers, and empowerment in this conversation.

Why Invite Dee Hake as a Guest?

I think I am personable, knowledgeable without seeming 'preachy', and relatable. I am also not afraid to talk about challenging and emotional topics. A few topics I could cover: What perimenopause or other hormone changes can look like in your early 30s (and why it's often misdiagnosed) The cost of silence: how a lack of awareness delays diagnosis and care and limits options How I am bridging beauty, aging, and advocacy as both a model and healthcare provider How we can empower women to take back ownership of their body and health journey
