Erica D’Arcangelo is a storyteller, author, and content creator. She grew up in a traditional Catholic Italian family with her parents and 4 siblings.

Erica D’Arcangelo is a storyteller, author, and content creator. She grew up in a traditional Catholic Italian family with her parents and 4 siblings.

After attending college and earning degrees in Communications, Advertising, and Journalism she began her career in the digital marketing industry launching a content creation company in 2013.

In 2018, she made her way home, and while running her agency saw that her family-owned pizzeria needed some marketing. Erica worked alongside her father as a content creator for the business.

During this time, she revisited her history and heritage with her father and the story of her grandfather, Pietro (Pete) as he opened up D’Arc’s Pizza in 1960.

Moved by this story, Erica wrote a book loosely based on Pietro’s life, called, ‘A Story About Pizza’. The book follows Pietro as he immigrates from Italy to America, working as a coal miner for the Berwind-White Coal Company in Windber, PA to his pizzeria.

She then wrote, Pietro’s Pizza, and Pietro’s Pizza Toppings launching the A Story About Pizza Children’s Series. Erica is now working on her second novel; the first in series about growing up Italian and runs her marketing companies with her family.

She’s also the host of the Pizza Story Podcast.
