He served as President of the Missouri Writers Guild from 2017-2018, overseeing two annual conferences and speaking for various chapters. In 2016, he officially became an audiobook narrator when he narrated the first Excelsior novel, and has since lent his voice to over twenty books of varying genres. He began podcasting in 2018, and is now the host and producer of the podcasts Excelsior Journeys: The Road to Creativity, From Duck Till Dark: Outside the Marvel Studios, and Excelsior Journeys: Behind the Scenes. In March 2023, George adapted his novel Excelsior into a two-hour-long audio drama, which was performed live on the Clubhouse app with a full cast, a sound effects library, and a musical score. In 2025, he became a multi-award-winning screenwriter with the short science-fiction screenplays "Minus One Plus" and “P.O.O.L.,” both of which have been selected to participate in film festivals all around the world.
