About Jamil Massey
For over 20 years Jamil Massey has enjoyed a career in Corporate Real Estate at Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company.
He is currently a Facility Manager responsible for managing the maintenance of several buildings.
In 2018, he was the Charlotte Project Lead on a multimillion-dollar space expansion.
Concurrently, Jamil is the author of a book called High School, No Fool where he shares his story of growing up on a farm, failing the 9th grade, and having a slow start to his career after flunking out of college twice.
Jamil encourages the readers by including the life lessons and the principles he used to eventually become a best-selling author, a professional speaker, Distinguished Toastmaster and the Facility Manager at Equitable in Charlotte, NC.
For over 20 years, Mr.
Massey has found joy in coaching and mentoring students ranging in age from 13-21, from middle school through college.
He served as Student Minister in charge of Middle School, High School and College age students.
Jamil has been Head Coach and Assistant Coach for various basketball teams.
Jamil resides in Monroe, North Carolina and he enjoys extracurricular activities with his family which includes basketball, watching funny movies and eating sushi!
