After completing 20 years of service as a Chief Deputy in El Paso County, Jesus served as Chief of Police for the Ector County Independent School District in Odessa, Texas, and then went on to serve as the Chief of Police for the City of Marshall, Texas.

In 2017, he was named Dr.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Humanitarian of the Year by the NAACP.

Jesus holds a master's degree in Criminal Justice and Security Administration and is currently working on a PH.

D. in Public Service Leadership.

He is a public speaker and keynote speaker, creator of the El Paso County Anti Bullying Coalition and the No Colors No Labels Initiative.
