Despite all my many victories, I’ve learned way more about life, love and work from my failures—and some of them were spectacular.

I launched a business at 37, in a new country (US), with three babies and an absent husband. I surrounded myself with gritty, smart, disciplined people who shaped every part of my journey.

As the founder of the region’s largest communications firm, I lived with exhilaration, fear and exhaustion every single day. But I got it done—ran a happy, busy, organized home, raised 3 amazing sons, and achieved some winners for the American people.

Like the indoor smoking ban, legalized marijuana, re-energized space travel. Every achievement started with just a spark.

And then, just when I thought I had life figured out, my world imploded. I had to start over.
