The 2008 financial meltdown was a wake-up call that should have transformed economic education, but it didn't. Even when the Bank of England acknowledged in 2014 that banks create money, the mainstream narrative remained unchanged. I believe we have radical yet viable solutions to combat low growth, high inflation, crazy house prices and rising inequality, yet these ideas are seen as heresy by mainstream economics.
