But over time, more and more people came to me with money issues, from debt to starting over because their partner robbed them blind.

Things looked like they were picking up for me until both my parents were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

As someone who’s lost both her parents to Alzheimer’s during a time when most people could focus on their careers and raising their families, my life suddenly got put on hold while I made sure my parents were cared for.

And when I finally lost them, it hit me that I was on my own. I know how lonely it can feel to have to pull yourself together while everyone else seems to be moving along faster than you are.

But in an unexpected way, those experiences prepared me for my next stage in life creating retirement readiness and caregiving programs for federal government employees.

Things took an even more unexpected turn when I went to my dance class and found a flier for a 4-day seminar on dance and money. Going to that seminar felt like a lightbulb went on and inspired me to become an emotional behavioral money coach, AKA a Money Whisperer.

That pathway ended up with me graduating from the prestigious Money Coaching Institute as a Certified Money Coach, (CMC)®️ that works with individuals, couples, and small business owners.

I also became a Positive Intelligence or Mental Fitness coach as I kept sharpening my coaching skills.

When January 6th happened, I suddenly found myself tapping into my consulting skillset I don’t usually talk about: helping corporations and governments recover from manmade or natural catastrophe.

Then, I noticed a horrifying trend in 2021.

Having personal and professional caregiving expertise, I noticed that an alarming number of caregivers were dying thanks to the harsh demands of taking care of a loved one, and that number was climbing exponentially.

By 2023, the numbers were still staggeringly high, so I committed to holding five years of Caregiver Conferences in honor of my parents to give caregivers the support they desperately needed—the tools, skills, and resources that I wish I had when I was taking care of my aging parents.

So far, the conferences have been a staggering success, with seats selling out all the way to overflow because of how much caregivers everywhere needed what I had to offer.

When I’m not working, and I’m with my family… I’m hiking. I’m rowing. I’m practicing yoga. I’m dancing. I’m cooking. And I’m laughing at the political theatre.

Oh, and I recently became a best-selling author in 2025.
