About Peter Kelly
Peter Kelly is a multidisciplinary storyteller whose work bridges the wild and the human.
As a filmmaker, writer, and expedition-driven creative, he is dedicated to uncovering stories that live at the edge of the map, whether buried beneath turquoise waters or rooted in forgotten towns.
With over a decade of experience in production design for major films and television, Peter transitioned his visual storytelling skills into documentary filmmaking and narrative writing.
His latest project, Salt & Silence, explores maritime archaeology in the Turks and Caicos.
Peter has worked as a high school teacher, marketing executive, and outdoor guide, but his central passion has always been narrative.
His writing blends travel, history, and culture with a voice that is both poetic and precise.
As a speaker and educator, he is known for bringing energy, depth, and a sense of wonder to every stage or classroom he enters.
Whether through pen or camera lens, Peter Kelly’s work invites audiences to explore the unknown, challenge their comfort zones, and discover stories that make the world feel wild and alive again.

Why Invite Peter Kelly as a Guest?
I bring stories that make people lean in. Real, lived experiences from jungles, small towns, and film sets. I’ve worked across disciplines as a filmmaker, writer, teacher, marketer, and outdoor guide. I know how to connect the dots between adventure, creativity, and purpose. I don’t just talk about ideas. I talk about how to live them. Whether it’s inspiring someone to chase a wild dream or unpacking the behind-the-scenes of storytelling, I bring energy, insight, and heart to every conversation. I’ve worn a lot of hats. Production designer on major film sets. Outdoor educator. Marketing strategist. Founder. My path has never been linear, and that’s where the strength of my story comes from. I’ve built businesses, taught in classrooms, sailed remote coastlines, and documented shipwrecks in the Caribbean. I’ve lived in a small town in Mississippi and worked in fast-paced creative industries. My experience lives at the intersection of story, strategy, and curiosity, which gives me a broad lens and a grounded perspective. Whether I’m speaking to a classroom, leading a workshop, or guiding someone on an outdoor expedition, I’ve seen people come away with a new sense of confidence, clarity, or purpose. My work is rooted in helping people reimagine what’s possible for their lives, and when they take action because of something I said or shared, that’s the real win.
