About Joanne Barnett

I am a Business Strategy professional with 25 years of experience in project, programme and change management.

I have been a remote worker for over 25 years.

I strive to build exceptional culture and employee experience.

I work with clients as a Future of Work Expert, Strategic Business Partner, HR Generalist or Project and Change Manager.

I care deeply about employee experience and building exceptional culture.

One of my key objectives when starting my business was to build a more inclusive workplace for underrepresented groups through Future of Work strategies, it enables work opportunities for disabled people, military spouses, those caring for loved ones, people with mental health challenges or long term health concerns to name a few.

Being able to work not only gives individuals a purpose during difficult times but helps society as a whole.

It helps communities who no longer have trade or business to access work and bring much needed spending into those communities and therefore helps to level up the wealth across the country.

I have significant experience and expertise in broad strategy across HR and Operations, I am recognised as a trusted advisor to C-level executives.

How I can help businesses: I can deep dive into the business to review strategy, objectives, mission and values.

I provide recommendations and then implement them with alignment from the business and stakeholders.

I implement HR policies and processes along with technical solutions to ensure the business remains compliant and efficient.

I design and implement Future of Work strategies that helps attract and retain the best talent and build and scale.

I help to build outstanding culture.

I have 25 years of experience in project, programme and change management.

This allows me to drive businesses goals and process improvement and efficiency gains, freeing up the CEO to focus on vision.

I have experience in building high performing teams from scratch.

I take responsibility for strategy, development, planning and day to day HR operations.

I am here to build a solid foundation for future growth in businesses.

I provide strategic guidance throughout the business.

This can include: ✅ Strategy development, planning and execution ✅ Building outstanding culture ✅ Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies ✅ Streamline and implementing policies and processes ✅ Implementing the right tools and software ✅ Enhancing team collaboration ✅ Creating a scalable workforce ✅ Implementing Future of Work model ✅ Leadership, talent and capability development ✅ Hiring and onboarding effectively ✅ Designing and planning of all staff and team meetings ✅ Real Estate projects ✅ Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives I thrive in fast-paced, ever changing environments.

Why Invite me?

I am passionate about a topic that is at the forefront of businesses strategy since so many companies were forced to move to a remote working model during Covid. I dream about a world where everyone has opportunities available to them to meet their full potential, we have an underutilised skillset simply because people can't go to a physical location to work. There are many jobs that could be performed remotely but there is insistence on being office based either full or part time. I am a strong advocate of building outstanding culture in the workplace. We don't want workplaces where employees get the 'sunday night feeling of dread' or are scared to speak up. In recent polls 88% of employees said they wanted flexible work, those who are required to go into an office only spend 80 minutes on average in face to face interaction! Productivity has been proven to increase with working from home and also with the trials on the 4 day working week. It is time to really push companies into providing the flexibility for their employees, trusting them, assessing them on output and not what time they clocked in or out, we want leaders and not managers. I want a world where parents don't have to miss sports days or school plays because they don't have flexibility, or where carers can't have a career because they need to be present at a location, or military spouses can't work because they relocate so much.
