Why Invite me?
I have experienced the highs and lows of being a CEO. In March of 2009, I had to close the doors on what had been a highly successful business. We were averaging a little under $5m in annual revenue, had 25 internal staff, 6 offices, and 200 employees placed with clients (it was a staffing firm). Then the crash of 2008/2009 hit and we were out of business almost overnight. I took 2 years away from business and just did charitable work in my community. Then, by 2012, I was ready to get back in the entrepreneurial 'saddle' and start again. This time, my husband and I purchased a beautiful 2 story-home on a lake here in Texas and turned it into a Bed and Breakfast. This amazing water-front property afforded me a place to host weddings and other gatherings lake-side. Following my husband's death two years later, I purchased the house next to us and turned it into a lake house rental and event center. In January of the following year, I started my current coaching company, Bridgeport Strategy. That was in 2015. I sold the B&B and the Lakehouse in 2017. Now, almost 10 years later, I am co-founding another company, The CEO Holy Grail. The entrepreneurial spirit in me is strong and is fueled by the knowledge that my purpose is to help others achieve their potential. As I help someone through my coaching, they go out and help others. I am then part of the ripple effect that is created. It doesn't get any better than that.
