Thomas Hitoshi Pruiksma is an acclaimed poet, writer, performer, teacher, and language consultant based in Seattle, Washington.

In addition to his writing, Thomas is also a passionate performer and has created solo shows such as A Thousand Thanks: The Gift of Sadako and Her Cranes, and By Heart: A Celebration of Words, Magic, and Memory.

He is currently revising an original show with music that he wrote with his husband, David Mielke.

The show, The Driftwood Bridge: An Offering of Story and Song, had its public premiere in November 2019 at Vashon Center for the Arts.
