Hi.
My name is Ronnie Figueroa.
In my mid-fifties, my life had fallen apart. Because of emotional state that helped bring about my addiction to alcohol, drugs smoking and other abusive behaviors, I developed a heart condition requiring a pacemaker, chronic health issues, a seizure disorder, and I had experienced homelessness and disability. I was a therapist — yet I was still searching for something deeper in my own healing and trying to cope with personal loses in my life, such as losing my two best friends from high school, and another close friend several years later, losing my brother, and losing a person I was involved with in a supposed spiritual group.
Today, I’m seventy-two. I take no medications. I run a thriving counseling practice. I previously built a business serving individuals on the autism spectrum with a staff of twenty. And I placed third in the world in what’s called DEKA, which is an endurance event.
I didn’t discover a miracle cure. I developed a simple, trainable practice of inner heart awareness, with breath work — refined through decades of clinical work, personal experience, and lots of mistakes — that helped me rebuild my life from the inside out. And I live to help others see that at any age, you can go from coping, to thriving in a relatively short period of time, by learning to live a life of Awareness with breathing exercises and heart connection.
