I'm the founder, CEO, and executive chairman of Empower Pharmacy, the largest compounding pharmacy and 503B outsourcing facility in the United States. Based in Houston, Texas, Empower serves patients and healthcare providers across all 50 states, specializing in personalized medications for hormone replacement therapy, weight management, dermatology, women's and men's health, and other therapeutic areas.
I founded Empower in 2009 from a 150-square-foot space in the back of a doctor's office after a personal health journey involving testosterone replacement therapy. Since then, I've grown the company into an 85,000-square-foot facility with more than 1,000 employees and annual revenue growing approximately 50 percent per year. Along the way, I've become a vocal advocate for compounding pharmacy regulation reform and patient access to affordable medications, and I've been outspoken about what I see as regulatory capture of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration by the pharmaceutical industry.
Empower and I have been at the center of major legal and regulatory controversies surrounding compounded GLP-1 receptor agonist medications, including a high-profile lawsuit filed by Eli Lilly and Company in 2025. I don't shy away from that fight — because someone has to stand up for patients.
