My name, Vally, comes from a character in a book my mother was reading. My wife and I continued with the geography theme, and named our five children: Canyon, Ridge, Ravine, Desert, and Mesa. You could say I'm from the Geography Family!

My name, Vally, comes from a character in a book my mother was reading. My wife and I continued with the geography theme, and named our five children: Canyon, Ridge, Ravine, Desert, and Mesa. You could say I'm from the Geography Family!

I'm semi-retired after a sales career in transportation and insurance and live in New Mexico. I've published two memoirs. The first is about my somewhat unexpected experience as a commercial hog farm manager, and the second about my parent's lives as ranchers in rural Utah and their courageous forebears who lived incredible lives of quiet courage.
