I have written a soon to be published book called "The Consistency Effect: How to Turn Reliable Actions into Remarkable Success" where I use my 40 plus years of successes and humbling setbacks as a framework to share the lessons I’ve learned. In a world fixated on overnight successes, I argue that consistent effort is the absolute best path to lasting and ultimately rewarding success, sort of like how hitting 'singles' and ‘doubles’ in baseball wins more games, more seasons and more careers than grand slams.
And while the principles of consistency are generally understood, consistency continues to be woefully underemployed due to a series of psychological and systemic barriers. My goal is to help people deal with these barriers and promote consistency as an extraordinary core competency worthy of passionate pursuit. To me, years of consistent performance leading to game-changing success is 'hitting it out of the park’ and that is the essence of ‘The Consistency Effect.”
