Catherine Cruveillier is an author, speaker, and international expert in human development, organizational transformation, and leadership communication with more than forty years of experience working across governments, corporations, financial institutions, and international organizations.

Her career includes leadership roles and collaborations with the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where she helped design programs, standards, and partnerships that influenced sustainability practices worldwide.

She was among the early practitioners translating sustainable development concepts into action in the Amazon, supported African governments in designing environmental action plans and biodiversity programs, and later helped transform how nature is integrated into private-sector investment decision-making.

At IFC, Catherine co-authored the Performance Standard on Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Management of Living Natural Resources, a framework that contributed to environmental and social standards used throughout the World Bank Group and influenced the Equator Principles adopted by major financial institutions globally.

She later led large-scale initiatives that helped transform industry practices across agriculture, biodiversity conservation, sustainable finance, and corporate responsibility.

Today, Catherine draws on four decades of practical experience to explore why so many sustainability and change initiatives struggle to achieve their intended outcomes. Through speaking, writing, and Socratic conferences, she helps leaders replace vague rhetoric with communication that creates clarity, alignment, and action.
