Max Ruthven is an Architectural Color Consultant and former cardiovascular nurse with over 16 years of practical experience in color consulting.
Her journey from the medical world to the world of color is an unconventional one, bringing together two seemingly unrelated disciplines. With a background rooted in observation, analytical thinking, and human experience, Max approaches color as far more than a decorative choice.
She works with homeowners, businesses, and multifamily communities, applying a strategic understanding of how color interacts with architecture, lighting, materials, and human perception.
Passionate about revealing the many dimensions of color, Max challenges common misconceptions and encourages people to look beyond individual paint chips to understand how colors behave in context.
Her philosophy is simple: Color is never experienced in isolation. It is shaped by everything around it.
