About Deborah Higgins

I graduated in 1996 with a degree in English literature from New York University, where I immersed myself in the Great Books.

After years of administrative work at esteemed institutions like The Juilliard School and Johns Hopkins University, I took a bold step.

At 62, I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Maryland and became a licensed social worker.

My journey has been anything but ordinary.

With over four decades of grappling with agoraphobia, I've transformed my personal struggles into a source of strength.

The challenges I've faced—like my mother’s battle with alcoholism, personal trauma, and health crises—have shaped my understanding of resilience.

Through my unique blend of Christian values and metaphysical practices, I created an effective prescription for anxiety that anyone can use to cultivate peace in our hectic world.

I’m passionate about helping others reclaim their lives from anxiety and trauma, and I bring humor and insight to every conversation.
