Her work is shaped by years spent training officers, writing practical guidance, and supporting people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Over time, she became increasingly concerned by a group too often overlooked in public discussion, professional training, and support systems: male victims of sexual assault, harassment, and domestic abuse.

Her book, 'Men Ignored', draws on official crime data, academic research, and professional experience to examine the gap between what the evidence shows and what society is often willing to acknowledge.

Liana speaks about male victimisation, safeguarding blind spots, organisational culture, and the importance of training that reflects real human experience rather than comfortable assumptions. She believes that seeing the full picture is the first step towards meaningful change, and that it is never too late to get this right.
