I was born and raised in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, where my strong rural roots instilled in me a love for history and storytelling. After spending over twenty years in a family-run cement manufacturing plant, I transitioned to workplace health and safety, focusing on training and development with a commitment to employee well-being.

After spending over twenty years in a family-run cement manufacturing plant, I transitioned to workplace health and safety, focusing on training and development with a commitment to employee well-being. Although I'm new to writing books, my passion for military history—especially my desire to understand my grandfather, a First World War veteran—led me to author Heart of a Lumberman. As a proud father of five and grandfather of two, I continue to draw inspiration from the landscapes and stories of Nova Scotia that shape my work and writing.
