About Tara Geraghty-Ellis

I am a Masters level Social Worker in Ontario specializing in working with people living with intersecting physical and mental illnesses and the accompanying pain and limitations.

My passion in working with this population is because I am a member of this group.

I have both physical disabilities and chronic mental illnesses, and have developed skills and techniques to overcome my own barriers, as well as the mindset of possibility, patience and perseverance to try things until something works.

Knowing that each person has different needs, lifestyles and preferences, I do the same with my clients until they meet the goals they set for themselves.

Then we move on to the next goal.

Why Invite as a Guest?

I am engaging, I am collaborative and I'm a good story teller. I'm also funny and like to look at the light side of things without making light of subjects that are important. I always relate what I am talking about to how listeners who have conditions can apply my key points, and how people who don't can support those who do.
