I’m a woman who spent years becoming who I needed to be to survive — and now I’m learning, every day, how to become who I truly am. I’m a U.S. Army veteran, a mother of two, a memoirist, and a woman who has lived on both sides of strength: the kind that keeps you alive, and the kind that brings you back to yourself.
My life has been shaped by transitions — from childhood into the military, from soldier into mother, from survival mode into healing. For a long time, I didn’t realize how much of myself I had tucked away just to keep going. Writing The Tactical Pause became my way of piecing myself back together, of understanding the patterns I carried, and of reclaiming the parts of me I thought I had lost.
I’m passionate about emotional healing, nervous system awareness, and helping women who have spent their whole lives being “the strong one” learn how to soften without feeling unsafe. I believe in truth, in vulnerability, in faith, and in the quiet courage it takes to choose yourself after years of self‑abandonment.
At my core, I’m a storyteller — someone who believes that when we tell the truth about our lives, we permit other women to tell the truth about theirs. And that’s really what my work is about: helping women come home to themselves.
