Alison Gieschen is a former school teacher and equestrian vaulting coach with over 25 years of inspiring students, as well as a former horse farm owner. She now lives a life of global adventure, having sold everything to circumnavigate the world by sailboat with her husband on their 43-foot vessel EQUUS. Drawing from her real-life sailing experiences, cultural immersions, and lifelong passion for storytelling, she crafts captivating narratives that blend adventure, heart, and human connection.
Her published books include the memoirs Riding the Waves of Reality: Tales of Turmoil and Triumph in Blue Water Sailing (chronicling the first five years of their journey) and its sequel Riding the Waves of Reality II (covering the Mediterranean leg); the epic saga THE SEVEN: An Odyssey of Seven Horses and Seven Souls (a novel about seven humans and seven horses chosen to decide humanity's fate, infused with global history and wisdom from her travels); and children's titles such as Julia's Vaulting Dream (introducing young readers to equestrian vaulting).
