About Dr. Marisol Capellan

Dr.

Marisol Capellan is an internationally recognized and award-winning educator, coach and TEDx speaker.

She is an Afro-Latina and former university faculty member.

She graduated with a Masters in leadership and a doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Miami, with her dissertation focusing on the trajectory of women to leadership positions.

Dr.

Capellan is passionate about women in leadership, Black women in the workplace, DE&I, and self-improvement.

She is currently writing a book, Leadership is a Responsibility, about her career journey experience as a Black Hispanic woman in academia, the stories of Black women in the workplace, and the need of responsible leaders to create a more equitable society.

Her personal story of resilience has been featured on CNN, where she discussed how her mindset helped her overcome homelessness at 17 years of age and highlighted systemic inequalities that minorities go through in order to succeed.

Dr.

Capellan is the Founder and Director of Transformational Coaching Certifications at The Capellan Institute.

She is available to conduct trainings, speaking engagements and coaching in both English and Spanish.

She is well-equipped with a built in microphone and webcam, and is available for remote bookings on weekdays.
