I am an independent researcher located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Even from a very young age, I already had a deep love and a profound respect for physics. The bulk of my physics education came from my time in the U.S. Navy's nuclear power program. I excelled through every phase of the pipeline, soaking up information like a sponge, and ultimately served onboard the USS Alabama, working directly with complex physics concepts such as nuclear theory & radioactivity, thermodynamics & fluid mechanics, and the generation & distribution of electricity. This experience gave me a thorough, integrated, and intuitive understanding of "energy" in its various forms. In the twenty years since I was discharged, I have continued my physics education independently. My recent preprint, "On the Nature of Energy," stems from a broader idea about how adaptive systems balance focus (i.e., density, or mass/space) and change (i.e., power, or energy/time). This led me into the realm of fundamental physics and I soon realized that energy itself must be treated as a fourth fundamental quantity alongside the three mechanical primitives of mass, space, and time. Doing so reveals a tetrahedral graph structure (K₄) which effectively describes gravity, relativity, and quantum mechanics all on a single combinatorial object.
