In 2015 he published his first book Bench Bosses: the NHL’s Coaching Elite, the first book of hockey literature to rate and rank the 50 greatest head coaches in NHL history using a metrical system to analyze their coaching performance.

In 2017 Matt released his second book The Art of the Dealers: the NHL’s Greatest General Managers, the first book in sports literature to rate and rank the 50 greatest general managers in any of the four major North American sports (baseball, football, basketball, and hockey) using a metrical system of analysis (this book is now used as required reading for online classes in hockey team management).

In 2019 he continued the trend with the release of his third book Lords of the Gridiron: College Football’s Greatest Coaches, the first book in college football literature to rate and rank the 50 greatest Division I-A college football coaches of all time using a composite system.

In 2022 Matt radically altered our evaluation of pro football coaching greatness with his fourth work Lords of the Gridiron II: Pro Football’s Greatest Coaches that revealed the 50 greatest pro football head coaches of all time using a composite rating system devised by him.

His next work Men in the Huddle: Pro Basketball’s Greatest Coaches (scheduled to be released in October 2026) will feature the 50 greatest pro basketball coaches of all time as determined by a composite rating system devised by Mr. DiBiase.

Matthew DiBiase is the producer and host of The Packaged Tourist podcast (which began in 2019 and features interviews with authors of all genres, poets, and other artists) which is released on YouTube usually on Tuesday nights after 10:30 PM EST.

When he is not working or writing or podcasting, Matthew loves reading, photography, visiting State and foreign capitals, travelling, and Facebook.
