I hold a PhD in Public Administration, specialising in digital government, and I am a Fellow of Advance HE. Across more than fifteen years in journalism, higher education, and research, I have studied and taught digital media, communication, critical thinking, organizational behaviour, and technology adoption. My peer-reviewed research includes social media and new-technology use in public organisations.

Originally from Pakistan and now living in New Zealand, I have also lived and worked in China and participated in an international journalism programme in the United States. This cross-cultural journey has given me a global view of technology and society.
