Peter Waitzman is a Chicago dad and the founder of Expedition Money, a family-focused financial wellness program. He is the author of Woodland Cents, a 53-book children's picture-book series published under the Expedition Money Press imprint and available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle. The books follow Tomanji, a lovable squirrel, through stories that are entertaining first, with lessons woven in gently: patience and compounding, generosity and community, entrepreneurship, resilience, repairing instead of replacing, contentment over comparison, and the idea that money is a tool while loved ones are the real treasure. Each book includes a Note for Grown-Ups and discussion questions, making the series a natural fit for families, classrooms, homeschools and libraries. Peter's view: being good with money is mostly not about money; it's about the habits and character kids form early. He also creates the YouTube channels Peter von Panda (244K subscribers) and Expedition Money.
