Being the first among his ancestors who came out of slavery in America to graduate college. Deremiah *CPE earned 2 degrees...a BS in Accounting and a BA in Fine Arts in the time it normally takes to earn one degree. His performance on the field earned NCAA Most Valuable Player recognition in football as a running back. His art career broke new ground when he became the first Indigenous student to win "Artist of the Year" at a college founded in 1891. By his sophomore year he had already entered major New York and Chicago galleries while gaining recognition from the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Science & Industry.

At only twenty years old...he adopted a twelve year old boy from one of the most dangerous communities in Chicago’s Englewood district. That young man...Christopher Thomas...rose to international success under Deremiah's mentorship and saw his art installed in thirty eight thousand United States Post Offices, thirty one thousand McDonald’s restaurants, and thousands of major retailers through SEARS World-wide.
